Migraine Solidarity Day is used to raise awareness about migraine headaches which is the third most common disease in the world. More people suffer from migraine HA than diabetes, asthma and epilepsy combined! 


In the United States, the loss of productivity due to Migraine headaches is between 6 to 17 billion dollars annually. 


Migraine HAs are an #invisibleillness that costs people their jobs, families, social life, and quality of life. 


As an optometrist, I see many patients with migraine headaches since vision is such a large part of the brain. Also, many patients with migraine headaches have a visual aura.
